Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync for Android

Many individuals love the flexibility of Android phones. The interface is easy, the apps are great and many people prefer them over Apple iPhones and Windows phones. The good news is that you can set up Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync android on your phone without a problem, although the process is a bit different than it is for other mobile devices. If you have the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync license along with MailEnable email, it's really easy to get everything set up on your android phone by following a few simple steps.

Of course, before you start setting up Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync android, there are a few things you're going to need. First, you'll need your android phone on hand along with a mobile plan that comes with data. You'll also need to have an Exchange account that is working so you can connect it to your android. Certain information is required for you to set up your Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync android account. Second, you'll need to have the server address for your Exchange account, which probably will be an OWA address. You'll also need to have both the username and the password for your account. In many cases, you will need to have the account's domain name as well. Once you have all this information, you're ready to start setting up Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync android.

Do you have an email account on the phone already, such as a Hotmail, Google or Yahoo account? If so, there are a few steps to follow before you begin setting up Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync android. You'll need to start by opening your email application. Next, click on the Menu button and then choose the Accounts button. Now, hit the Menu button once again and choose the Add Account option. Now you need to enter the information for your email address and the password.

After you have entered the email address and your password, hit the Next button. Now you'll need to click on the Exchange Account option. You'll need to enter the DOMAIN/username, the Exchange server address and your password. Keep in mind, you need to enter the domain name in all caps in most cases. Then, make sure that you check the option that has you Use Secure Connection and Accept All SSL Certificates. Once this has been authenticated, check off the boxes next to the features that you will want to use, which may include Sync Calendar, Sync Contacts, Notifications etc. Hit the Next button again. Once you are on the next screen, you will need to provide your account name as well as your name. You need to give your name because it will be used on any outgoing email messages.

Once you have your Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync android account all set up, there are a couple things to consider. First, if you have an account that gets a lot of traffic, then be careful about deciding to use the Automatic Push setting. This can end up draining your battery quickly. You should probably use the option that updates about every 10 minutes. Remember, you cannot set up multiple Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync android accounts that come with all the built-in tools. However, it is possible to purchase a tool that will let you configure multiple accounts on your phone.

After getting the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync android account up and running, you'll be able to get all the information you need from your Exchange account right on your android phone. This makes it easy to access contacts, emails and more while you are away from your computer. It's a wonderful decision for busy professionals who are always on the go.
